I am getting a pretty good response for the Branson reunion. I'm going to have the Best Western Landing in Branson set aside at least 10 and maybe 15 rooms for Sept 5-11, 2011. The rate will be around $85. I'll get you more info soon. If you are new to the Tcup reunions these are the ground rules---there aren't any ground rules. We do it "Hawaii Style". With the exception of having a hospitality suite and a scheduled dinner on Friday night, we do whatever strikes us at the time. Some will do National events, some will fish, tour, go to shows or sit in the suite and tell lies. Whatever floats your boat. In our Hawaii days someone like Ross"Big Time" Thomas would say "beach party" and in short order a string of cars would be headed for Makaha. Beach party, pool party, taco feed or just a party most happened on the spur of the moment. We continue in that tradition. It works well for most of us but it drives the more anal among us a little crazy. I'll be dead one day and that schedule and POD will be set in stone for a long time--until then--Hang lose. jj PS We handle the cost by splitting the room, drinks, snacks, between the sailors on hand. We pay for our own dinners and tours ect as they happen.

John, does the T-cup have a Facebook page that reunion info can be posted on? I have been in touch with several shipmates who are interested in attending next year's reunion in Branson, and would like to have the information. I can also just copy and paste the info into a message to them, but I thought having a FB page would be easier to share information and updates.
Thanks

Steve, I will get the info to Stan Cook in the next few days and we will probably use the tcup web page. It will be the same as what we have discussed in the prior posts. Look forward to seeing you in Branson. jj

Wives, girlfriends and camp followers are always a big part of Tecumseh. See you both in Branson. jj

Good to know JJ. We are both looking forward to it. I am also trying to rally the troops from the time I served on board from '82-'88.

Can't tell you about 2 wheels and tents at this park . Don't remember seeing tents. Give them a call and ask. If not at this park I'm sure Branson has many camping spots in the area. It's the Ozarks and outdoor recreation is a big part of the draw. Look forward to seeing you. jj
